Friends turned Business Associates - Devesh, Bhavesh, and Theju stumbled upon the idea of a AutoCare startup when Devesh’s Tata Sierra broke down while going to Rajkot City.
After some surveys in the AutoCare repair service market indicate that 65% to 80% belong to the unorganised segment. The huge gap between supply - demand and the search for a single easy solution to all vehicle related problems led friends to founded www.autoly.in in January 2019.

The Gujarat based startup is an Aggregation Platform with more than 200 AutoCare Service & Product Providers. It allows users to find various services for 2-wheeler & 4-wheeler like regular services, repairs, washing spa, roadside assistance and spare part providers in nearby locations. Service providers include Breakdown Assistance, Car AC repair, Car Detailing, Denting & Painting, Wheel Balancing & Alignment, Bike Modification & many more.
With Autoly AutoCare, Vehicle Users can select, compare rating and choose from a wide range of service providers, depending on location and desired services. Detailed service provider profiles with photographs, service, facility and product listings, reviews and ratings help customers make an informed choice.
In the early days, the founders had to spend a considerable amount of time convincing and educating the service providers. Devesh, a MCA from Nirma University, is the CTO & Solution Evangelist; Bhavesh, a MCA from Nirma University, has 15 years of experience with Projects & Client Management; Theju holds an MBA in IT & Marketing, has 15 years of experience in the Business Intelligence Analytics.
Initial Glitch
Most veterans of the automotive industry operate in the usual way. Educating and persuading service providers to be listed on these platforms is a challenge due to their reluctance to adopt digital mobile platforms. Standardisation, especially tariffs and services, was also a problem.
Business Traction
To date, our AutoCare startup has enrolled more than 150+ AutoCare Crew. It has predefined criteria and checklists for the selection of AutoCare Service Providers which includes Infrastructure, Service Capabilities, and Automotive experience to ensure that the quality of service is maintained.

Currently, Autoly AutoCare is in talks with several VC investors to raise funds. Over the next few months, Autoly AutoCare will expand to Baroda, Surat and Rajkot, covering nearly 80% of unauthorised service providers in each city. In addition to auto services, the startup will soon add other services such as vehicle accessories and insurance.

To improve the customer experience, Autoly AutoCare started launching Autoly Crew App to all mechanics in Ahmedabad since July 2021. The Autoly User App will be helping users manage all their vehicles in one place, from vehicle registration number, chassis number, monthly expenses, service expiration date, PUC (Pollution Under Control) renewal date to vehicle insurance. Autoly's iOS / Android User App will also allow customers to track their entire vehicle servicing details and also preventive maintenance via usage & driving patterns.

Industry Competition
India's automobile industry is considered one of the largest in the world, with an annual output of 26.36 million vehicles in FY 2020. The Indian automotive industry of $93 billion contributing 7.1% to India’s GDP is projected to reach over $97.6 billion in 2024. The automotive aftermarket market includes manufacturers, distributors, retailers, service providers, and workshops, which together create opportunities for the AutoCare Repair & Maintenance services market in India.
However, India has yet to see a government body or association supporting the AutoCare repair & maintenance services industry so it still lacks quality and there is a discrepancy in price. Authorised AutoCare service centres try to organise this area to some extent.
In recent years, a number of online auto repair service startups such as Pitstop, GoBumpr, MyTVS, AutoBrix, Automovill, Cartisan, CarCrew, GarageWorks, Gear6, Carpathy, Demyto, Carpiko, SparesHubs, GoMechanic and Cross Roads have sprung up to disrupt the business model.

Autoly AutoCare has entered a virtually untapped market in Ahmedabad, which will likely act as a growth catalyst for the six month start. By offering various vehicle services to 2-wheelers, 4-wheelers, Autoly AutoCare is trying to adapt to this crowded market. Exploring more Tier II & Tier I cities in India will help the startup gain an edge in the market.
